For most Jews, the siddur is the text that is referred to above all others. It is certainly used more than a Gemara, more then a Chumash and more than any work of Halacha. But why is there is standardized format for prayer? Why don't we organically compose Tefilot as we require them? This Ten answers this question with an insight from the parsha and explains that there are two very different types of prayer. Each is important, but one is clearly "sharper" than the other.
